What steel are your tools Made from??

All hammers are made from 1045 and most other tools are made from 4140 with the exception of most center punches being O1 tool steel.
Tongs are made from mild steel and hammer tongs are made from 4140 or 5160.

Do i do custom work?

At the moment I don’t do very much custom work however I may consider your project depending on what it is and if I have time!

What wood do you use for handles?

All my hammer and tool handles are made from American hickory unless listed otherwise. I choose the straightest grain and highest quality pieces for hammers and top tools usually get a lesser quality handle because of the amount of stress exerted on a top tool handle.
